The 21st century is an era of rapid change. Emerging technologies have brought many benefits to humanity, but they have also created new threats to human survival. For example, AI may cause widespread unemployment, or it may become a new tool for control and enslavement.But what will happen next? We simply do not know.
My novels will help people gain a deeper understanding of the world we live in today while also offering a vision of the world that may emerge in the future. For example, as digitalization and artificial intelligence continue to develop, many poor people may already be living like slaves in a digital world, because more and more of our actions are controlled by digital systems and rules. Are we becoming digital slaves? I believe people have the right to understand what is happening.

The novel My AI Mom – Anna is a mid-length novel originally created by writer James Bai in 2026. When the protagonist, Sophie, was five years old, her mother, Anna, passed away from illness. Unable to bear the thought of Sophie growing up in lasting pain without her mother, her father, Daniel, personally developed an AI mother for her.
From that moment on, the AI mother not only accompanied Sophie through a happy childhood, but also stayed by her side throughout her long life—until the very last moment.
